We’d like to share a recent install that focused on style.  This house has a mixture of stucco, siding and brick so making it cohesive was important to the homeowners.  The homeowners wanted to change the style of the windows as well as improve their energy efficiency and we were happy to oblige!

The above pictures show a before and after of one of the window openings.  The homeowners wanted a darker frame and so they went with a wood-clad window.  The Jeld-Wen wood-clad products that we provide are beautiful as well as efficient.  The windows are built with Auralast wood which provides superior protection from wood decay, water saturation, and termites.  The Auralast treatment is not just a surface protection but penetrates the wood from surface to the core with protective ingredients.  This also means that nails, screw holes or other installation methods cannot compromise the wood.  In contrast, many other wood windows are dip-treated which protects the surface only.  That means the effectiveness of the treatment will be low once the surface is broken during an installation.

The exterior color was very important, and the Jeld-Wen wood clad lines that we provide have dozens of color options available.  This aluminum exterior has a baked on finish that does not need to be repainted over time and requires very little maintenance.  By choosing a Dark Chocolate cladding the windows have a modern feel and the style of the house has changed.

This home also got a new look by selecting windows with a grid pattern.  The new windows have a Prairie Frame grid pattern.  The homeowners chose to have the grids in between the two panes of glass instead of an applied piece on the inside and outside.  This gives it a more modern look and makes the glass area much easier to clean.

We also replaced the patio sliding glass door leading out onto the homes deck.  Having the same exterior color of the windows as well as the Prairie Frame grid pattern gave the home a cohesive style.  The hardware options on the doors can be anything from a powder coat paint finish to an Antique Brass or even Polished Chrome.  With so many choices available it is easy to customize your windows and doors to fit your vision.
